Body Fusion!

If ever I'm feeling like I need some motivation to get some APs in, I'll just check this out - great tips for a low-impact, "high results" workout!

(This cracks me up EVERYTIME! Gotta love SNL!)


I'm on holidays from work, but not from being OP!

As much as I wanna down some Mochaccino ice cream from the now-open BDI to celebrate the fact that I'm on holidays, I'm going to refrain from doing so and instead, stick to my plan!

Tattoo Day is less than 2 wks away, and I had a goal in mind to have reached by then. My plan is to stick with it!

Friday night posting

Looong day today, but I managed to stay OP!

After work, I went straight to visit with my sister, my mom and my baby niece. I took her (my niece, not my sister!) for a couple of little walks today. It was nice to see the sunshine, and I didn't need to zip up my jacket! She'll be 2 in a couple of weeks, so she's still absorbing things around her. "OOOH, hi birdie! Another tree! Car, vroom vroom!"

And then SHE would say cutsie things, too! ;) lol

I forgot to point out...

...that the scale is on my side!

I don't know WHY, but I was down AGAIN today! The scale showed 154.5lbs - quite the difference from Monday's WI, and even from yesterday's sneak peek - down 2.5lbs from yesterday!

I really need to stop peeking, I know.

But it's a great way to keep me motivated!

Let's hope I can keep this up!!!

Thursday's Review

Woke up to a sleety, snowy Winterpeg morning - why can't the sun just come out, even for a minute? Stupid weather!

I had the day off today, and totally just RELAXED. Something I think that was long overdue! It felt good to just laze around and do nothing - watched the first part of The Office marathon, and now I'm going to get some APs in before the next batch of Office episodes comes on.

More APs!

And home in time for Lost...with an hour to spare!

DH and I just came back from the flyer delivery - 4 APs for 80 min of brisk walking with a heavy bag to carry! Hooray!

I'm going to make that Chicken Teriwacky now, on the George Foreman grill as opposed to the bbq. I've never cooked chicken on George's own before, so here's hoping it turns out - and is ready in time to enjoy whilst watching a half-naked Sawyer fight for survival!

On the downward spiral

What a chilly day today!

But with all my new Sephora make-up, I ended up looking pretty danged hot! :) I LOVE Sephora, and they love me (well, my credit card more than anything...). It's almost time to place another order.....but I'm too broke to justify spending over $120 on make-up and other girlie stuff (cuz if the order's over $120, I get free shipping!). Like THAT makes up for it!

Anyhoot!

Another reason I was feeling pretty good today is that my scale has decided we're becoming friends again - I'm down 3lbs since Monday, with still another 3'ish to go to make up for my unexplainable - and inexcusable - gain last week. Hooray! GO AWAY, FAT! lol

I've been getting APs every day this week so far, and sticking to my 21 allotted daily pts allowance. Almost - I usually end up with -0.5 pts, but what can I eat for 1/2 a pt to make my target?

Tonight's LOST, and tomorrow's The Office marathon, so DH and I are going to deliver our flyers tonight. (Lost doesn't start til 9pm, so we have plenty of time to get the deed done!) They're pretty heavy, and it's pretty cool and rainy out there, so I'll be bundled up. Should get in some good APs for that lil' trek!

HUGE revision!

My big plans for a healthy-eating type of day just went down the toilet!

My brekkie was easy enough, but once I got the perogy-making on the roll, all I've eaten today has been mini eggs (damn them to hell!) and sampling of the perogy filling!

MINI EGGS ARE EVIL!!!! This is what I've been doing allll day!!!:


Yup, that's right - just poppin' them beyotches right down the hatch, bag and all! Dammit, I hate them!!!!

I've probably reached my 21pt limit for the day, and lucky for me too, b/c I don't have enough pts for a real supper - all that perogy sampling has filled me up! Too bad, I was looking forward to having that chicken from last night. Dang, that was a good meal.

Oh well, more for DH! That makes him happy!

Speaking of whom....I hope he returns from the store soon. I had to send him out to get me more cheese for my perogies, but 24's on in half an hour, and I know Superstore can be a bitch!

Messy Monday!

So Mr. Scale was anything but nice to me today. I'm up 6.5lbs from last week! WTF???!

TOM?

Perhaps. But can TOM REALLY make THAT big a difference??! I'm absolutely floored!


I was OP every day, but perhaps that one day I didn't deliver flyers with my hubby ended up being directly reflected on the scale.

I sadly have to watch my little snail friend on my weight loss tracker take some seriously big leaps backwards now. *sigh*

I'm back on the flex plan now - previously, I was to eat 21 pts per day, so that's what I will stick to for this week.

Write off!

Today was a COMPLETE write-off.

Didn't get to bed until 2am, and the I was up at 5 with wicked cramps - so I relocated to the couch in the basement under a big ol' blanket (so as not to disturb my DH with my tossing and turning), and ended up staying up for a few hrs. Finally fell asleep, but woke up a couple of hrs later, and ever since then I feel like I've just been in a daze all day.

So needless to say, I got ZERO APs in today. I stepped on the scale this morning, and was up 4.5lbs since WI last Monday. Perhaps had something to do with last night's escapades, and the fact that it's TOM time, but nonetheless, I think it's time I just go back to my regularly scheduled flex plan, just for a week, to see how that goes.

I feel like such a lump today - bloated, cranky, didn't even get out of my pj's all day! I was supposed to devote all day today to filling my next round of perogy orders, but as if THAT was going to happen!

Oh well, tomorrow's a new day. Maybe I just need a good night's sleep to shake me out of this funk.

And some nice low numbers on the scale for tomorrow morning's WI would sure do the trick, too!

But so would winning a million bucks on a scratch ticket - neither are very realistic goals!

Hen parties need to be had more often!

Wow, last night's Hen Party was pretty fun!

I saved enough points to allow myself to indulge in all the goodies at the potluck party, but I didn't go too crazy! (I maaaaaaay have gone over a couple of pts with the bevies I had, but once every now and then's ok, no?)

Then of course, someone had ordered "entertainment" for the night - sure got lots of APs laughing my arse off!

Got my stupid period yesterday, so I was feeling a bit bloated - but I still looked pretty cute in my pale green tube top! I hadn't worn a tube top since I was 5! It was awesome!

Then we busted it out at the bar, only stayed for an hour - I was feeling so clausterphobic, it was a packed can of sardines in there!

But good times were had by all!

Hen Party!

I really have to ration my pts during the day, b/c tonite I'm taking my sister to a hen party!

A girls-only potluck shin-dig that will serve as a bachelorette party for one girl, and a going-away party for another, followed up by dancing at the Pal! I haven't been there in AGES!
I'm really looking forward to it - but I'm not looking forward to hardly eating today - I haven't had a drink in a loooong time, and I need to save LOTS of pts for my vodka and lime juice! HAHA!

Stress stresses me out!

So I had this job interview last week, and I know I'm not 100% qualified for the role (part of it is policies and procedures, things I can totally learn), but the rest of me was made for this job!

Anyhoot, they said they would announce their decision by today. So needless to say, I spent all week dealing with restless nights, MEGA house cleaning (anything to keep myself busy so I don't have to think about it). And today rolls around - and I got an email saying they hadn't made their decision yet, and they'll announce it early next week!

GRRRR! I was up against some stiff competiton, so if I could only just HEAR them say, "Thanks, but no thanks", I'll be ok! I just wanna hear SOMETHING!

DH, as supportive as he is, made a good point - he said they probably made their decision, but just couldn't get a hold of their chosen candidate, so until they confirm with that person, they can't announce anything.

Oh well!!!! I hate stress!!!! Here's to another sleepless weekend!!!

Better Butter Chicken!

Tried it, and loved it!

A bit time consuming to make, when everything isn't ready to go beforehand, but SOOO worth it!

The mashed fauxtatoes were a bitch to blender-ize, so I just used a potato masher and added the onion dip and salt! Not sure how I feel about 'em, if I never make them again, I won't cry over it!

But the chicken....MMMM!! And only 6 pts!

My DH wanted to be the hand model for tonite's dinner shot, so here he - and it - is! Turned out alright, eh?!

Today's menu - trying out new recipes!

Last week I purchased (finally!) the Eat Shrink and Be Merry cookbook - it looks awesome! SO awesome, in fact, that this week's grocery bill went through the roof, as I stocked up on items I wouldn't normally buy (cauliflower and cooked whole chickens, for example). But I'm super stoked to give a couple of recipes a try! They look deeeelish!

Day 2 of my week, and I got APs in! I didn't think I could, as my 22pt days I feel low energy, but I rock the hizzouse! It's 11pm, and I just finished, but what the hell, eh?! Now I get to eat another chocobran muffin, some yogurt and an All Bran bar!!!!

Quick review!

Although I intended on staying in bed all day today after the weekend's perogy-making marathon, I ended up going to visit my sister, my niece and the rest of my family. I spent allll day there, didn't bring a snack along, so by the time I got home, I shoved a few chocobran muffins in my face, made a yummy tandoori chicken wrap, some popcorn (today was SHD, so I had to get as many pts in as I could!), and then left to get DH from work.

We stopped off at Superstore for a few more potatoes (more perogy orders came in! AHHH!), and DH picked up some slowpokes! I hadn't had those in YEARS! So needless to say, we were munching on them on the way home.

"It's ok," I figured, "I have to eat all my pts!"

And then I started feeling guilty, b/c I know I should have consumed healthier options, like yogurt and All Bran bars (and more chocobran muffins!).

Had a 4oz steak with mashed potatoes for supper (too tired to try the Mashed Fautateux recipe from my new ESBM cookbook!), and a salad.

Watched this week's episode of 24 (god, that Jack Bauer sure is brave!), and was ready to go to bed - but instead decided to get 5 APs in!!! I surprised myself with the energy I found within - and I'm glad I got to do it. Hopefully that Turbo Jam counteracts all the slowpokes I stuffed my face with! LOL

The weather is crappy - hoping tomorrow, for my day back at work, it's a bit warmer. Snowy weather is a bitch for the airline industry!

Not sure if my body just needed time to adjust to the Wendie Plan, or if those chocobran muffins really ARE a godsend!, or even if the batteries in my scale are dying!, but TODAY, MY SCALE IS MY FRIEND!!!

Somehow through the night, my body must have burned all those points I got from rolling dough and pinching perogies, and so for this morning's official WI, I'M DOWN - ANOTHER 0.5 LB FROM YESTERDAY!

Which brings my WI to........(drum roll pls)........... 152LBS!!! A total of 3lbs lost in the past week!

I had to do the double - no, QUADRUPLE scale-step, JUST to make sure, and it all read the same!

Maybe Wendie isn't so bad after all!

This heightens my motivation even MORE! I'll give good ol' Wendie another week to prove herself - and if next week is even remotely as successful as this past one was, then she'll be my pal. Otherwise, it's back to Flex - so COME ON, WENDIE! DON'T LET ME DOWN NOW!!!

"Dear Scale..."

Dear Scale,

Today, as I'm sure you know, I snuck a peek on your lovely self, and was elated to spy a 2.5lb loss from last week's recorded weight! As you may not know, I have been doing everything I can to see a number such as the one I saw this morning, so it should come as no surprise to you to hear how, once the shock passed, I was going to dedicate myself to making today a great OP day, in order to see the same, if not better, results tomorrow - on my official WI day.

I drank my 3L of water, but have been unsuccessful in obtaining any APs today. I hope you won't hold this against me.

Please, PLEASE be kind to me tomorrow, as I, once again, step up on your shiny plastic finish. Tomorrow is the day that counts, and I sure don't want to have to throw you down the stairs again.

You know, it hurts me more than it hurts you to have to do that, so let's be kind to each other, ok?

Black Sabbath stole my husband!

My DH had a free ticket to tonite's Black Sabbath show (the opening band is Mega Death - I had a heckuva time poking fun at this!) - and he didn't even really WANT to go, but he did.

Great, I thought - gives me plenty of time to finish making the last of my perogies (26 dozen....good god!) and get some APs in.

Well, the perogy-making has gone on hiatus, and I hate being alone in the house at night, so forget going to the basement, where all the space is, to exercise!

So here I sit, posting, while my hubby is "enjoying" the show, and while I listen to William Shatner's version of Mr. Tambourine Man (my iPod is on shuffle, and that's what's cranking out in the kitchen now....no, no - that's NO EXCUSE to be listening to that! There's no good reason to have William Shatner on my iPod in the first place!)

Hahahaha.....oh well! Back at them thar perogies!...................

Knee-deep in potatoes!

No posting yesterday, as I was up until 1:30 am making perogies!

What have I done?!! HAHA!

10 doz in the freezer, another 15 to go (so far...until more ppl place their "orders"!)

So I snuck a peek on the scale this morning - and I'm down! 152.5lbs! Could it be all those yummy chocobran muffins I've been consuming?! If so, then I'm going to be a HUGE supporter of the CHOCOBRAN PLAN! HAHA!

I sure hope the scale is kind to me tomorrow, on my official WI day.......fingers and toes crossed!

Only 3 APs yesterday (we're getting good and fast at delivering those papers, so we weren't out as long!), but that brings me up to 22 APs earned so far. I hope to get 6 in today, to bring me up to 28 for the week.

Man, I've got lots to live up to today! How many APs for rolling dough, anyone?

Perogies!

I mentioned how I picked up a flyer delivery route to make an extra buck - and being the good Ukrainian I am, always looking for ways to make money!, I've offered my perogy-making skills to my co-workers!

What have I gotten myself into?! HAHA! I remember the last time I made them, spent a whole day making a billion of the potato-filled doughy pieces of heaven, and I swore no amount of money could compensate for the work it takes!

But here I am, having committed myself this weekend to filling the orders I've already received! My only NSV will be not eating any leftovers!

Are there any APs for perogy-making?!!! lol

V8 Low Sodium

I love this product!

1-8oz glass has 2 full servings of veggies, and the low-sodium variety has 75% less sodium than the regular V8! And 0pts per glass!


Can't beat that!



It has a great taste (even though DH says he needs to get accustomed to the taste of the low-sodium version as opposed to the regular beverage, but I quite enjoy it!), and it even takes care of those midday or late-night cravings!

A case of the blahs

Today's been an off day for me! I planned out my menu, but haven't stuck to it! I haven't overeaten, and I still have enough pts for a good supper and a snack, but I've just been soooo tired lately! I crashed again when I got home from work at noon, and woke up to Oprah at 4! I could've slept longer, but I figure I won't sleep tonite.

Now I just feel so lethargic!

I snuck a peek on the scale this morning, and still no huge losses from sticking to the Wendie Plan. I think, starting Monday, I'm going to go back to the regular Flex plan, and see what happens with that. I sure will miss my 37pt days!

I'm going to try to find some energy to get some APs in today, here's hoping!

I missed The Office, but I got 4 APs!

Just this past Sunday, I started my paper route.

I know, what am I, 12? But I'll do anything for a buck!, plus it's a great way to get out and get some exercise. So every Sunday and Thursday, my hubby and I deliver flyers (thank goodness he's here to help me, it's kinda a shady area!)

The plan was to be done by 7pm, come home, make some supper, and watch one of our favourite shows, The Office at 7:30 - but by the time we got home, it was 7:54!!! I was peeeeeeved! Oh well, got my APs in, but it still sucks that I missed my Thursday evening television indulgence!

My adorable niece!



Today is my sister's 30th birthday, so after my hubby woke me, we went down to visit her and my niece - and I had planned out the birthday cake beforehand, so all was good! NSV for me, no ice cream with my cake!


Here's a pic of my adorable niece - she'll be 2 next month - and she's showing Auntie that the cake in her mouth is "all done"! What a good little girl!

I'm completely in love with my "little tinker"! This picture is great because it shows her comedic side - she's such a funny little character, and she's big into music, which Auntie and Uncle love! We're both musicians, and we bought her a Fisher Price piano for Christmas, so she sits on my lap while we play Twinkle Twinkle, and she just sings along!

I'm so addicted to her, I miss her already!

Whew! I did it!

I honestly didn't think that I would find the energy, on my 22pt day, to exercise.

But I did it!

I just finished acquiring 4 APs, thanks to motivation from Shrunk! You rock the hizzouse, girl!


- 20 min strength training (1 AP)

- 20 min on the elliptical (1 AP)

- 30 min on the treadmill (2 APs)

I have the best hubby in the world!

I know everyone says this about their spouse, and I MAY be exaggerating here!, but it's the little things he does that just make me love him so much more! I came home from work this afternoon, my first day back on 4hr shifts, and I was SOOOOO tired! But I planned on picking him up from work, so I had to stay awake. He phoned, told me to nap and that he would call me to wake me up so I could come and get him....but instead he let me sleep! I woke up to him coming home at 5:30 - he WALKED home, 5.5 km, just so that I could nap! and MAN, I feel so much better!

Lucky for us both it's a nice day outside (finally!).

Man, I sure do enjoy using exclamation points!

Anyhoot, here's what's on today's roster:

Lack of energy prevents me from even dreaming of how many APs I'll get, but I'm working on litre 3 of my water. Here's hoping that green tea kicks in, mama needs me some good energy!

We've got someone coming over this evening, a financial planner that my hubby used to work with. I'm in Oprah's Debt Diet mode, and with us wanting to buy a new house in a few yrs, I'm hoping he can shed some light on some things. It's great, but at the same time it sucks, because he's coming at 7, and that's when NBC Dateline's To Catch a Predator is on!!! I love that show! Maybe he wouldn't mind if we have it on the in background while he and DH crunch numbers! HA!

Tonight's gourmet meal!


I absolutely LOVE this chicken dish! It's a Southwestern-style chicken, cooked in Kraft fat free Italian dressing. Add onions, 1/2 can of diced tomatoes, black beans, a hit of tobasco sauce, and cilantro for the finishing touch, and it's only 5pts!

I always eat this with 1 cup of whole wheat couscous for 3 pts. Doesn't it just look yummy?!

Throw in a side salad, and you have a delicious and nutritious 8pt meal. And the leftovers the next day are divine!

It'll be an NSV if I can avoid this...

Last night, my sister, her 2yr old daughter, and my brother came over to my place for dinner! I made restaurant-style gourmet dishes, but the piece de resistance was this chocolate oatmeal cake I made for dessert! The sheer sweet aroma of it I'm sure has added some thunder to my thighs!

As they were leaving last night, I begged them to take some cake home with them! They declined. I BEGGED my hubby to take the rest of it to work today - but it's still here! If I can NOT dive in to the divinity of this chocolately goodness, I'll be surprised!


Here's hoping I can report an NSV on this topic!

****fast foward to an hour later......aaaaaaaaand one pce of 6pt cake down the hatch!!! So much for the NSV....it'll be an NSV to not eat more! LOL! Better adjust my menu for today! ************************

Why does Wendie hate me?

My 5th official WI on the Wendie Plan today - the first 2 wks, I sabotaged completely, the 3rd wk was TOM but still managed to plow through, the 4th wk I followed religiously and was down 4lbs, and TODAY, after another successful week of being OP to the tee has me up 0.5?

I just don't get it!

But I'll continue on, because I just don't know what else to do? I'm a mere 12lbs away from the weight I was at WITH Cysty, which scares the bejeebus outta me!Maybe I have s'more cysts, one in each arse cheek perhaps?! lol
Here's the plan for today - my SHD (37pts):

Breakfast:

2 slices WW toast w/2 tbsp peanut butter = 5
1/2 cup yogurt = 1
1 All Bran bar = 2
= 9

Snack:

Now I HAVE to hold myself accountable!

Well, here it is, my first official weight loss blog! I've been on WW since June 2006, and what an amazing road I've travelled!
Starting out at a whopping 188.5lbs, I exercised, stayed OP, and in 3 months, I dropped 20lbs. I had a gaunt face, bony arms, (the big arse that won't go away!), but my stomach was still HUGE.

I did sit-ups, side bends, you name it - but nothing worked.
That's because the dr's found a large cyst in my abdomen.

In Sept, I had surgery, and 16L of fluid was drained from my belly. I dropped down to 137lbs, the skinniest I'd been since birth, I'm sure! I knew I needed to put SOME weight back on, but I was determined to not let myself "go". The surgery was a blessing in disguise - the best weight-loss program EVER - and I wasn't going to let it go to waste.

So I stayed OP (aside from the occasional Big Bacon Classic from Wendy's, because my hubby was determined to see me get my boobs back!). I figured, and hoped, that I could level out at 145lb.
But almost 6 months after surgery, my weight's been hovering around the 155lb mark.

It's not that I'm at my "healthy" weight now, because BABY'S GOT BACK! I've got a few arses to lose, and some thunder thighs to tone up. So I've switched up to the Wendie Plan a couple of weeks ago in hopes of shaking things up.

To no avail.

So, fast foward to NOW - I'm going to post on this blog religiously - what I eat, how many APs I get - all that stuff, and I'm going to be forced to hold myself accountable because YOU will know if I'm lying! Hopefully, you'll hold me accountable for my slip-ups, too!
I hope my blog offers inspiration to others, because I know I've been inspired by other success stories on the boards! We're all in this for support, so let's be each other's WonderBras!

Gotta love a good head shot! Here's me, 2 months ago - faaaar left side. Got some extra baggage in those cheeks! There's my first clue that I need to change things up a bit!







*NOTE: Shrunk made a good point - the "after" pic was taken a week after surgery, and that's NOT how I still look now - that's what I'm looking to get back to - I've packed on 20lbs since then!!! Damn those Big Bacon Classics!!!
